EL CUATRO
PUERTORRIQUEÑO:
Para los que no conosen el
Cuatro, es el instrumento tipico y simbolo nacional de la isla de Puerto Rico. El cuatro es un instrumento de 10 cuerdas,
categorizado dentro de la familia del Laúd. La afinación de las cuerdas desde la quinta hasta la primera son:
Si-Mi-La-Re-Sol. Desde su origen el cuatro ha sido usado primordialmente para la musica Folklórica del campo de Puerto
Rico en la epoca Navideña. Hoy en dia el cuatro se ha adaptado a otros generos de musica como: Salsa, Jazz, Clasico,
Rock y Bluegrass. Ha sido adaptado como un instrumento común al igual que la guitarra y el piano.
Mi Musica Borincana es una grabacion de varios generos de la musica tipica
de Puerto Rico. Los generos incluyen aguinaldos, seises, trullas ademas de otros. La grabacion de Eternal es mi humilde tributo
a tres de los mejores compositores que han vivido. Ellos son J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart y L.V. Beethoven. La influencia musical
de estos compositores legendarios me han inspirado a desarrollar una fusion de estilos baroque, clasicos y latinos que pasarán
a otras generaciones, y como las comoposiciones originales de estas grandes leyendas, tendràn una vida Eternal ...

"El CUATRO":
For those
who are not familiar with the Cuatro, it is the typical instrument and national symbol of the island of Puerto Rico. The cuatro
is a five double-coursed instrument (10 strings in total), which is in the Lute/Mandolin family. It is tuned in fourths. The
names of the strings, from top to bottom are as follows: B-E-A-D-G. Since it's origin, the Cuatro has been used primarily
for the folk music of the countryside of the island, some of which I have included in the Eternal CD, predominantly during
the Christmas season. But, nowadays, the Cuatro has been adapted to many different genres including but not limited to, Salsa,
Jazz, Classical, Rock & Bluegrass to name a few. It has been labeled an all-around instrument just like a guitar and/or
a piano.
Mi Musica Borincana
is a compilation of various styles of the typical music of Puerto Rico. Genres include aguilnaldos, seises, trullas and others.
The recording of Eternal is my humble tribute to three of the greatest composers who ever lived. They are J.S. Bach, W.A.
Mozart and L.V. Beethoven. Their influence in my music has inspired me to develop a fusion of baroque, classical and Latin
styles that will hopefully pass on to other generations, which, like the original compositions of these three legendary composers,
will remain Eternal...
